Finer Form began over a lunch conversation with two colleagues from Boston who then became Finer Form’s founders. One of our founders had just bought a sit up bench online that turned out to be a piece of junk. The back board was too short, the “steel” was flimsy, and the bolts wouldn’t stay tight. You just couldn’t get a good workout on it. Which begged the question: Why does most at-home gym equipment feel so flimsy?

Rather than ponder too long, we talked about a solution. Could we make better at-home gym equipment? Made from stronger steel, with a better design and thicker, more comfortable padding? Could it last for many years without falling apart, even with tough workouts?

That was the challenge—and that’s what Finer Form is still striving to provide: long-lasting home fitness equipment that’s both reliable and affordable.
